1 - Delete any unused apps and games

We all have those apps that we never use but keep installed “just in case”. Get rid of them! Not only will this declutter your home screen, but it will also free up some valuable storage space.

2 - Unsubscribe from unwanted emails

Most of us are subscribed to way too many email lists that we do not even read anymore. unsubscribe from these emails to declutter your inbox and prevent your phone from constantly buzzing with notifications.

3 - Turn off unnecessary notifications

There is no need to be notified every time someone likes your Instagram photo or posts something on Facebook. Go declutter your mind by going to settings and disable notifications for any apps that you do not really need them for.

4 - Organize home screen

A cluttered home screen can be just as distracting as a cluttered desk. Take some time to organize your smartphone homescreen by organizing by purpose like ‘Productivity’ or ‘Travel’ and you name it.

For me,I declutter my smartphone home screen by labeling ‘Google’ and have a lot of tier apps there. Moreover, I have folders labeled as ‘Finance’ for any app related to money, and ‘Travel’ for apps like Experdia, Trip Advisor, and Klook.

5 - Get rid off old & duplicate files

We all love taking photos and videos, but after a while, they can start to take up a lot of space on our devices. Photo cluttered on your phone storage is so messy and makes your device run slower.

Try using Google Photo to back up smartphone internal storage photos and share with your people with ease.

6 - Delete old texts and conversations

We have all been there: we are scrolling through our messages and come across an old conversation from months (or even years) ago. Delete it! Keeping old texts takes up valuable space on your phone, so get rid of them to declutter your device.

I, myself, personally declutter no longer necessary chats or texta at least once a week.

7 - Delete old contact and back them up

We have a lot of phone contact with no longer contact, and some of them are uncategorized. Just delete your old coworker contact lists, their email, their text message and so on. Then categorize the remaining ones by family, relative, workplace, club (s), and so on. After that, back up them to cloud from time to time in case of any accidentally lost.

Minimalize Your Phone is the First Step to Simple Living

It is no secret that our phones can get pretty cluttered over time. Whether it is old apps that we never use, photos that we've been meaning to delete, or random bits of junk that we've picked up along the way, our phones can get pretty cluttered.

A minimal living is a way to simplify your life with something that really matters and means for you. After decluttering your smartphone, double think before storing files or downloading any app from the internet.

Keep things as simple as it is.
